MCO Music Listening Club at the McNally Robinson Community Classroom!

Join a music listening and discussion group! Think of it as a book club, but for music! This class is for you if you enjoy a variety of musical genres including classical music and would like to begin exploring music from new perspectives. In a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll gain insights that will help you confidently discuss music with others. Broaden your understanding and appreciation for music and the artistic process while learning to listen deeply and with more intention.

This class is discussion-based, and each members’ unique contributions and questions are valued! Guided listening and reflection activities will be provided before each session that will serve as a starting-off point to the discussion and learning. Members will be encouraged to share some of their musical favourites, which we’ll combine with listening selections based on the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra’s Spring 2025 concerts! We will be inviting a number of guest presenters, and members will also have opportunities to attend MCO rehearsals.

The club meets monthly on Thursday afternoons (January to May), the cost for 5 classes - including special guests and the opportunity to attend MCO rehearsals! - is $150, and you can register now at mcnallyrobinson.com/classes.
