Afternoons with the MCO!

Our 2023-24 matinees are a great way to get students inspired, curious, and excited about music! Experience the incredible sounds of the orchestra joined by renowned Canadian and international guests. We can't wait to see you at the concerts and together explore unique ways of making, creating, connecting and responding to music.

We have special ticket prices for school groups and homeschooling families!

Tickets are $10.00 (incl. GST) for students and chaperones, and bus subsidies are available.

We can’t wait to see students and chaperones at this special concert that will feature two inspirational guest artists with diverse backgrounds and influences. Composer, conductor, and pianist Dinuk Wijeratne and tabla soloist Shawn Mativetsky will join the MCO for an unforgettable concert, blending together musical genres and traditions.

Hear works by the beloved composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including his Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major featuring the celebrated 19-year-old British pianist Jeneba Kanneh-Mason along with guest conductor Jeri Lynne Johnson. Prepare to be inspired!

We’re in for a treat for our last matinee of the year! The viola will be in the spotlight with Canada’s Sarah McElravy as soloist along with the MCO’s Music Director Anne Manson. You’ll hear the viola like you’ve never heard it before!
