Join the MCO Team! We're Hiring a Marketing and Communications Manager

The Manitoba Chamber Orchestra (MCO) is seeking a creative and strategic Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our marketing efforts in alignment with the orchestra’s goals to grow our audience, amplify our profile, and cultivate meaningful connections through music. As the Marketing Manager, you will develop and execute innovative strategies that enhance the MCO’s reach and engagement across our subscription series, community engagement programs, fundraising initiatives and other activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies for subscription seasons, single ticket sales, digital engagement, and audience growth.
  • Manage the production and distribution of marketing materials (print, digital, and social media) within budget.
  • Lead social media strategy and curate engaging content.
  • Oversee the MCO website, ensuring accurate and dynamic content.
  • Build and nurture relationships with media, promoting MCO events and initiatives.
  • Write press releases, email newsletters, and digital ads to promote ticket sales and community involvement.
  • Support ticketing operations and enhance the customer experience.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance using CRM and analytics tools.
  • Promote MCO’s community engagement programs, special events, and sponsorship initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marketing (3+ years), preferably in the arts or non-profit sector.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media strategy, and SEO.
  • Skills in content creation, graphic design, and video editing is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for music, with a commitment to community engagement and equity.
  • Ability to understand analytics and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, creative mindset.
